Lucia turned 1-year-old last Saturday, and I was invited to photograph the big day--from the opening of her presents, to her first taste of cake from Piece of Cake, to a much needed bath to wash that icing out of her hair! Of course we made some time for a few pictures of Lucia's little brother Pablo and some family portraits. :)
There are so many to choose from, so here are a just a few of my favorites...

Ellen & Dan tie the knot at the Inn at Cedar Falls!
This past weekend, we packed our bags and headed for the Inn at Cedar Falls in the Hocking Hills for Ellen & Dan's wedding weekend. I knew as soon as we drove up that this would be a wedding of a different kind!
Friday evening, Ellen and Dan welcomed their guests with dinner (ribs and chicken on the grill--can't go wrong with that!) and drinks on the restaurant's patio. Saturday were the non-traditional ceremony and reception, catered to fit this couple's personality (modern music during the ceremony, pouring a Black & Tan together instead of a unity candle, an intimate dinner setting instead of traditional first dance, bouquet tossing, etc.). Following dinner, Ellen & Dan invited everyone to change into some comfy clothes and join them outside for a bonfire, complete with beer and s'mores of course! And what a great way to end the weekend on Sunday with a farewell breakfast with blueberry pancakes and bacon.
This was our first time to the Inn at Cedar Falls, despite having visited the Logan area at least once a year for as long as Brian and I have been together (back to the college years!). We were thoroughly impressed with the venue--from the rustic character of the inn and lodge to the gorgeous grounds to the delicious food, it was easy to see why Ellen and Dan chose this place for their big day...er...weekend!

American Motorcyclist
In the past month, I've had the pleasure of working with Nora and Mark from American Motorcyclist over at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Pickerington, OH, in shooting some portraits of several people involved with the organization. Nora sent me over some tear sheets from the current issue and of course I'll post more when the future issues are published. They have been an amazing group of people to work with!

Big Rock Little Rooster
Brian was asked some time ago to photograph the new and refreshingly unique bridal boutique, Big Rock Little Rooster.
The shop is located in the Short North, and just like it's name, it is quite unlike any other bridal shop you'll find in Columbus. For one thing, they are the only store in Columbus to carry Vera Wang bridal gowns, and for another, well, just look at the pictures!
I finally got to visit Big Rock Little Rooster this past weekend at the gallery hop, and strongly suggest brides-to-be do so as well. And they don't just carry dresses, they have amazing jewelry by Jamie Linscott and lots of other bridal must-haves. Check out their website at www.rocktherooster.com for more information.

Maria's Senior Session
Maria is a senior at New Albany H.S. this year and I had the pleasure of working with her and her mom last Friday...and Sunday. Oh yes, yet again I had a photo shoot rescheduled due to the rain. Not sure how this happens considering it's hardly rained this summer. :) At any rate, we met up in New Albany for some outdoor shots, then headed over to Gahanna Creekside to try something different. Here are some of my faves!
