Big Rock Little Rooster

Brian was asked some time ago to photograph the new and refreshingly unique bridal boutique, Big Rock Little Rooster.

The shop is located in the Short North, and just like it's name, it is quite unlike any other bridal shop you'll find in Columbus. For one thing, they are the only store in Columbus to carry Vera Wang bridal gowns, and for another, well, just look at the pictures!

I finally got to visit Big Rock Little Rooster this past weekend at the gallery hop, and strongly suggest brides-to-be do so as well. And they don't just carry dresses, they have amazing jewelry by Jamie Linscott and lots of other bridal must-haves. Check out their website at www.rocktherooster.com for more information.

One of the most exciting things about being a photographer is seeing our photographs published! I'm always anxious when our copies of Columbus Bride show up on our doorstep--I immediately flip through the pages looking for our images...Congrats to our clients, Beth & Aaron, Kim & Chad, Emily & Bryan, and Allison & Adam, whose images were chosen for the latest issue! An additional congrats to Margaux & Danny, whose image we chose for our new ad!

June 20, 2009 now available

I just wanted to make a quick note that June 20th, 2009 (yes, this year) has opened up so if you know anyone who is looking for a photographer for that date, send them our way! Brian and I were surprised to welcome our son, Joseph Patrick, into the world a couple weeks early!  My water broke at home last Sunday and Joseph was born the following morning, March 2nd, at 10:07am.  He was born at a healthy 6 lbs 3 oz, and 20 inches long.  I've been enjoying being at home with him while I recover and the first thing Brian does when he gets home from work is scoop him out of his crib and hold him for most of the night.  

JP is 9 days old today, of course we have already taken tons of pictures...the poor kid is surely going to hate cameras soon enough.  :)  Here are a few of our little cutie...

Portraits, Portraits, Portraits...

The snow is finally melting and that means it's time to start thinking about family portraits and senior sessions! We have completely re-vamped our portrait and senior pricing and we think it will be a lot more client-friendly.

We will be posting about upcoming promotions in the next month or two so keep an eye out and start thinking about scheduling your session before we are completely booked!

We are also looking for senior ambassadors/representatives from local high schools, so if you know anyone who would be interested in this program, please have them get in touch with Alison at agrogan@groganstudios.com.

We just found out that one of our images from last year is featured on the front page of the latest issue of the Catholic Times. I haven't seen a copy of the actual paper but here is a pdf link of what it looks like! Congrats to our clients, Emily and Kevin, for being featured!

One of our wedding couples from '08 were featured in the most recent issue of The Knot Ohio magazine  as one of the "favorite Ohio weddings." We're so excited for them, and of course for us since our images were used for the article! Check it out on newstands--it's the Spring/Summer '09 issue.
