What a week on the blog--I feel like I've been posting a ton of pictures this week!
I had the pleasure of meeting little Leah on Monday, whose parents' wedding we shot a few years ago. I may have overstayed my welcome (although mom Christa assures me it's not so...) with a couple of hours of "mom" talk, but it's always nice to compare notes, and maybe even vent a little about the daily stresses of new motherhood.
Here's baby Leah...

Baby Tucker
Let's be honest, there's only so much one can do when photographing a newborn. They're so delicate, and Mommy and Daddy are still getting used to the little one. I'm not a huge fan of using props without a good reason and typically like to focus on the baby without having distractions or plopping them in a giant teacup (not that there's anything wrong with that!).
I was really excited to show up to the studio and realize what an absolutely perfect day it was outside--the most perfect temperature to take 3-week-old Tucker outside without having to bundle him up! So, for the first time ever, I actually photographed a newborn baby outside (and some inside as well...).

Courtney and Brett's Wedding!
This past year has been a bit of a blur at times, especially when I was pregnant and meeting with new clients in the first half of the year and suffering from baby brain. I do remember one particular thing about my first meeting with Courtney--she was a little concerned about her November 6th wedding, and that it might be too cold to have the ceremony outside. I remember assuring her that it is still decently comfortable around that time every year--I know this because Brian and my anniversary is November 1st.
And so the week of Courtney and Brett's big day comes around and I'm stalking the forecast and low and behold, we're looking at a high of 44 degrees on their wedding day. As the week goes on the predicted high gets lower and lower and finally Saturday morning, we were looking at a high of 41 degrees!
But, trooper that she is, Courtney was bound and determined to have that outdoor wedding! And good for her, if you ask me. Blankets were passed out and guests kept their coats on, and Courtney got to walk down the isle at her outdoor wedding ceremony. :)
And now for Courtney and Brett's sneak peak...

Mira and Mark's wedding
Mira and Mark were married a few weeks ago at Franklin Park Conservatory. This was the first traditional Jewish wedding we've photographed, and it was fun for us to get to experience it and learn about all the traditions during the ceremony, and really throughout the day. A big thanks goes to Mira for printing us up a cheat sheet so we'd know what to expect. :) Here are some of our favorites...
