Baby Julia, 10-days-old

I never know what to expect for newborn sessions...so, I expect nothing. Sometimes they sleep the whole time, sometimes they mostly cry, and sometimes their diapers need to be changed over and over again. And that's fine by me.

But little Julia was in the best of moods today. I can honestly say Julia was pure perfection, eyes wide open for 30 minutes straight (except for the occasional slow blink!), often lifting her head to look straight into her mom or dad's eyes. Now if I could just find out what mommy Jane's secret is.... :)

Syrus, 5-years-old

I had the pleasure of photographing Syrus last year around his fourth birthday and I couldn't believe how much he'd grown in a year! Of course I got smaller (was very pregnant last year) so maybe it was an optical illusion. ;)

I met up with Syrus & Family at the Emerald Fields playground in Dublin last weekend. Good thing we met up early, because we were roasting in the sun by the end of the session! Syrus was a good sport, though, and we got some great posed and candid images!

Kate & Jason

Yet another close call with the crazy weather last week, Brian and I met up with Kate and Jason in German Village for their engagement session Saturday morning before the storms rolled in. I love how many beautiful backdrops you can find around every corner! Here are my favorites...

Hadley, 6 months

Last Friday, the skies cleared up just long enough for Hadley's 6-month pictures out at Glacier Ridge Metro Park in Dublin...as we were sneaking in the last few shots we heard rumbles of thunder and ran to our cars--only moments later came a torrential downpour!

Jennifer and Thomas

I'm baaack! After almost two weeks off (10 days without touching my computer!) for a trip up to Cleveland and then to D.C. for my oldest brother's wedding, it's time to get back to the real world!

A couple of weekends ago, we traveled up to Ashtabula for Jennifer and Thomas's engagement session. Our fantastic Cleveland clients picked this location for its old covered bridges and of course its proximity to Lake Erie. I am in love with this shoot, and had a very difficult time narrowing down the best of the best...
